Telemarketer’s Bad Sales Pitch

8:43 a.m. A woman said that an abusive telemarketer threatened to “come blow her head off.” It’s not clear what the man was selling.

11:22 a.m. A woman’s granddaughter said she saw a neighbor strike his son in the head with a metal bar on Solberg Drive. The son, who is on probation, was OK. The father was interviewed and the case has been referred to the county attorney.

12:02 p.m. Tools have yet to be returned to a rental agency on Montana Highway 83 in Bigfork.

12:09 p.m. Smoke was billowing from the Lazy Day trailer court. Sheriff Mike Meehan said, “it looked like a pretty good fire.”

12:22 p.m. A malfunctioning sprinkler system set off an alarm at Plum Creek.

12:43 p.m. A man on Beach Road in Bigfork called the sheriff’s office three times in 24 hours. Reportedly, he used to send handwritten notes via fax, but has since been blocked because of his excessive communication.

1:32 p.m. Two mix-breed dogs were at large on Kings Loop. Their owner was cited.

1:53 p.m. A man was throwing things on Dillon and Braig roads.

2:45 p.m. A woman said someone entered her greenhouse, trampled some things, and didn’t bother to close the door.

3:58 p.m. Someone’s ex-husband broke into her house. He didn’t take anything.

4:44 p.m. A 27-year-old woman was busted for stealing cosmetics at Kmart.

5:10 p.m. An 11-year-old boy, who was choking on an apple, refused to be transported to the hospital. Reportedly he was crying.

6:46 p.m. There was a car accident on Hawthorne Avenue in Kalispell. There were at least two injuries, one of which was an injured arm.

9:17 p.m. A male subject in Whitefish was bleeding from the head.

The departments responded to 133 calls for service.
