The Whitefish Bulldogs, who came into the Northwestern A divisional tournament as the favorites and the No. 1 seed, narrowly defeated Polson 45-41 in a challenge game Monday night to advance to the state tournament. The Bulldogs will join conference champion Columbia Falls at state.
In the girls’ tournament, Bigfork beat Polson 50-42 in a challenge game on Monday night to advance to the state tournament. The Valkyries join Columbia Falls as Northwestern A’s two representatives at state.
The girls’ state tourney is held this week at the Butte Civic Center on March 5-7, while the boys’ tournament is at the ExpoPark in Great Falls on March 12-14. Let’s take a look at the brackets for each of the Class A state tournaments.
