Following a tough loss Friday afternoon, Bigfork’s basketball season is over. The Valkyries narrowly lost to Belgrade 49-47 in a consolation game at the State Class A Girls Basketball Tournament. Earlier in the day, Columbia Falls, Northwestern A’s other representative at state, lost to Glendive 53-40. The Wildkats’ season is also over.
The tournament, which is being held at the Butte Civic Center, will wrap up Saturday, with the championship game scheduled for 8 p.m. Click here for a full bracket. The boys Class A state tournament is held next week at ExpoPark in Great Falls on March 12-14.
