Columbia Falls Girls Lose Out of State Tournament

After an impressive run through the Northwestern A regular season and divisional tournament, the Columbia Falls Wildkats have bowed out of the State Class A Girls Basketball Tournament in two games. The ‘Kats lost to Glendive 53-40 on Friday afternoon to end their season with a 13-9 record. On Thursday, Columbia Falls squandered a 10-point halftime lead and lost to Hamilton 51-48 in overtime.

Glendive moves on in the consolation bracket to face the loser of Friday night’s matchup between Anaconda and Miles City. That game will beat 11 a.m. on Saturday. Click here for a full bracket.

The tournament is held at through Saturday at the Butte Civic Center. The boys tournament is next week on March 12-14 at ExpoPark in Great Falls.
