Decapitated Deer and Bird Report

8:43 a.m. Someone was throwing garbage and car tires into the river near Conrad Drive. A witness got a description of the vehicle and the license plate. However, the plate didn’t match the make and model. Officers took a report.

11:40 a.m. There was an attempted burglary at a condo in Bigfork. Someone tried to pry the door open.

12:49 p.m. A stolen vehicle was reported to the front desk at the Flathead Justice Center. It was deemed a civil issue.

1:14 p.m. Another vehicle was reported stolen, this time on Vonderheide Lane. This too was deemed a civil issue.

1:21 p.m. Fraud was reported on Big Mountain. A travel company out of Maryland purchased $8,000 worth of lift tickets and then put a stop payment on the check. . The case was sent to the Flathead county attorney.

3:16 p.m. Harassing phone calls were being made to a person on Cedar Lane in Whitefish. Someone kept calling even after being repeatedly told they were reaching a wrong number. Officials advised the person to block the number.

4:43 p.m. Someone on Cynthia Drive had their window broken on their trailer. They accused a neighbor of breaking it and threatened to call the sheriff’s office. The accused neighbor called in first to tell authorities about the situation.

4:43 p.m. A woman on Shady Lane reported that the license plate had been stolen off her vehicle, which explains why her son was previously pulled over while driving the same vehicle without a license plate.

4:38 p.m. Someone’s friend borrowed their vehicle without permission. The vehicle was reported stolen. The friend got the vehicle stuck in Stillwater State Forest. The owner and the friend worked things out.

5:20 p.m. Neighbor kids were throwing snowballs at a woman’s dog on Cynthia Drive. Officers counseled both parties.

4:49 p.m. A suspicious vehicle was seen in the parking lot of a restaurant in Evergreen. Officers confronted a group of males and they were deemed to be OK.

6:35 p.m. A possible break-in was reported on Highway 93. It turned out to be a landlord serving eviction papers to a tenant.

7:11 p.m. A decapitated deer was found near Bigfork. The animal may have been poached. The case was turned over to Fish and Game.

8:26 p.m. An argument between a 30-year-old male’s mother and girlfriend turned physical and when officers arrived. The male was arrested on an outstanding warrant for drunken driving.

12 a.m. A pair of suspicious males were checked on by officers. The two were just out walking looking for something to eat.

1:28 a.m. A woman in Martin City reported to officers that a bird had flown into her window and she was taking care of it.
