Glacier Boys Lose Out of State Tournament

By Beacon Staff

After making the state tournament in only its second year of existence, the Glacier High School boys basketball team couldn’t keep the magical run going at the State Class AA Boys State Tournament in Butte. Glacier lost to Missoula Sentinel 77-65 in a loser-out game on Friday morning after dropping its first-round matchup against Bozeman 80-58 on Thursday. The Wolfpack finish the season with a 15-8 record.

Glacier gave up an average of 58.1 points per game during the regular season, but in its two losses at the state tournament it surrendered an average of 78.5 points. Perhaps most discouraging for the Wolfpack is that they swept the regular season series against Missoula Sentinel, winning 76-67 at home and 73-64 on the road.

The tourney is being held in Butte through Saturday. Click here for a full tournament bracket.
