Community Meeting Scheduled to Address Evergreen Land-Use Efforts

A community meeting is being held this weekend to gauge public support for a proposal to form a land use advisory committee in the Evergreen area.

Alan Gilbertson, president of the Evergreen Business and Property Owners Association, recently spoke with Flathead County Commissioners about taking the beginning steps to form a seven-member Evergreen Land Use Advisory Committee. Several like committees already exist in unincorporated towns throughout the valley, including Bigfork, Lakeside, and Helena Flats, and offer recommendations to the county for land-use guidelines for their area.

The meeting is scheduled from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 21 at the Evergreen Junior High School.
