Lighter Abuse and Joyriding

3:31 a.m. An intoxicated male threw lighters on the floor at a local convenience store.

7:56 a.m. Someone jumped the fence at a local business and drove a work truck around. It doesn’t appear that they took or damaged anything.

8:55 a.m. An older male fell down on East Idaho. The man was disoriented and wasn’t sure what happened.

9:42 a.m. A male and female that had recently broken up were having issues. She claimed he had been harassing her. She was advised to get a temporary restraining order.

12:09 p.m. A dead calf was lying on the sidewalk on Commerce Street in Bigfork. A man had put it there for his dogs to eat. The animal warden advised the party to move the animal.

12:17 p.m. Someone from Martin City called to report a phone scam.

12:46 p.m. Someone on Trumble Creek was receiving harassing text messages.

1:04 p.m. There was a chimney fire in Olney. Neighbors helped extinguish it by shoveling snow into the chimney. The Olney Fire Department responded.

3:40 p.m. A 16-year-old male was assaulted at Whitefish High School. Hie was transported to North Valley Hospital.

4:04 p.m. There was a report of a forged check on Fourth Avenue in Columbia Falls.

4:14 p.m. Four pickups and a car were spinning cookies in a yard and in the street on Anderson Lane. They reportedly damaged a fence.

4:35 p.m. A home was broken into on Caroline Road. Some cash was taken.

4:39 p.m. Two eighth-graders beat up two fifth-graders in downtown Bigfork.

5:17 p.m. A phone scam was reported on Michaels Slough Road in Columbia Falls.

6:37 p.m. A dog got stuck underneath a shed on Piney Dell Trail.

8:01 p.m. A boyfriend and girlfriend got into a physical altercation. He reportedly pushed her. No charges were filed and both were counseled.

8:11 p.m. There was a report of possible poaching on Hodgson Road.

12:24 a.m. Authorities checked on an intoxicated male at a local motel.
