Authorities have released the names of two people killed in a crash north of Kalispell.

Flathead County officials have identified a pregnant woman and her son as victims of a head-on crash on U.S. Highway 93 Thursday night. Coroner Ernie Freebury says 35-year-old Erin Thompson of Columbia Falls and her 13-year-old son Caden Odell were killed when a car driven by a 16-year-old girl crossed into oncoming traffic and struck Thompson’s vehicle head-on.

The girl was hospitalized in critical condition at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. Her name has not been released.

The Montana Highway Patrol says the cause of the crash is still under investigation.
