Man Struck and Killed on Highway 35

POLSON – The Montana Highway Patrol says a man was struck and killed after running in front of a Jeep traveling on Montana Highway 35 along Flathead Lake.

Lake County Sheriff’s Lt. Mike Sergeant says the woman driving the Jeep called 911 shortly after 10 p.m. Monday to report she’s struck a man who was standing in the middle of the highway, just north of Finely Point.

The patrol says the man was running toward the Jeep, the woman hit her brakes but was unable to stop in time to avoid the 37-year-old man. His name and hometown haven’t been released.
