Drunken Shooting and Broken Ice

8:23 a.m. Some horses got loose on Birch Grove. Officers were unable to locate the animals.

10:16 a.m. Trespassing was reported at a local church. The issue was deemed a civil matter.

10:39 a.m. Someone had a roll bar for sale in their front yard. Someone else decided they wanted it and took it. The owner of the item said it wasn’t worth that much and isn’t going to file a report.

10:58 a.m. A concerned mother hasn’t heard from her son in nearly two months and wanted to file a missing person’s report. The son, who lives in the Many Lakes area, left for a Hawaiian vacation in early February. The last transaction on his bank card was in early March. He was entered as a missing person.

11:16 a.m. A lock was broken at the entrance to a construction site off of Rhodes Draw. Nothing was missing from the site, but the entrance gate was damaged.

11:35 a.m. Someone on River Estates Drive wanted their neighbor questioned about unsafe shooting. Reportedly, the neighbor gets drunk and shoots his gun at night.

11:56 a.m. A resident on Ashley Lake Drive has seen a group of males snooping around their property and requested extra patrols.

2:51 p.m. A wife at a local RV Park had asked her husband to leave a week ago and he still hasn’t left. She was advised on how to get a temporary restraining order.

4:34 p.m. Someone kicked in the door of a trailer on Springcreek Drive. The resident believed that the suspect was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and was possibly still in the home. Officers checked things out and he wasn’t there.

5:01 p.m. Someone fell through the ice on Haskell Creek. The husband of the reporting party went to help them and also fell through the ice. The Whitefish Fire Department responded and rescued both individuals.

7:09 p.m. An intoxicated male in his 40s was stumbling in front of a local restaurant on Highway 2.

11:43 p.m. Someone saw a male suspect aggressively pounding on their neighbors door on Cooper Lane. The case was referred to the Kalispell Police Department.
