On the Beacon today, Kenny Guzman, a natural born Flathead fighter, is preparing for an April 4 bout in Kalispell. Kohl’s Department store and PetSmart will not be opening new locations in Kalispell. The man struck and killed along Highway 35 near Finley Point has been identified as 36-year-old William Yarck. And Sen. Max Baucus presses Transportation Secretary Ray Lahood to funnel stimulus dollars toward Going-to-the-Sun Road rehabilitation.

A judge has ordered Yellowstone Club owner Edra Blixseth to pay $1 million to a Bozeman bank for defaulting on a loan. University of Montana professors debated a controversial sex column in the campus newspaper yesterday. And a bill establishing stream access from county bridges heads to the Senate floor today.
