Deer Hunting and Stolen Beer

3:21 a.m. A man and a wife were screaming at one another on First Street in Hungry Horse. The two were separated for the remainder of the morning.

10:12 a.m. An ex-wife feared that her ex-husband was suicidal. Officers checked on him and he was fine.

10:56 a.m. Jewelry and coins were taken on Scenic Drive.

11:12 a.m. A prisoner at the Flathead County Detention Center damaged his county-issued sandals. He was charged.

11:37 a.m. Forgery was reported on Sherman Lane in Bigfork.

1:05 p.m. Security at a local shopping center wanted officers to check out what they believed to be a bullet track in the snow.

1:14 p.m. Some medication was stolen from a vehicle parked at a shopping center.

2:11 p.m. Officers followed up on burglary case which resulted in the arrest of a 19-year-old man.

2:30 p.m. A dispute over money spurred some verbal threats between two friends on Jellison Road.

2:44 p.m. A neighbor’s pit bull attacked another neighbor’s dog on Springhill Road. It is unclear what injuries either animal suffered, if any. The animal warden is investigating the case.

5:49 p.m. Three juvenile males “were pretty scared” after being caught for shoplifting at a local shopping center.

6:28 p.m. Someone on Highway 2 noticed a screen on their window had been tampered with. However, they didn’t find anything missing or any signs of entry.

7:02 p.m. Someone was attempting to shoot deer from the cab of their silver pickup near the railroad tracks in Columbia Falls. Officers were unable to locate the suspect.

8:42 p.m. A male on Second Avenue believes a neighbor boy tried to steal a beer from the “beer case box” he has on his front porch.

10:11 p.m. A 45-year-old male was transported to the hospital after too much drinking at a local restaurant/bar.

11:19 p.m. Someone believed a prowler was out their front porch. It turned out to be an intoxicated male looking for a place to sit down. He was told to leave.

11:38 p.m. An employee working at a local hotel office saw a suspicious male standing outside the window. He was gone when officers arrived.

12:40 a.m. A 16-year-old male in Lakeside was upset that his girlfriend was sleeping on the couch. The two were separated for the night.
