'First Dog' Celebrates 5th Birthday

First Dog Jag Schweitzer will celebrate his 5th birthday today.

And according to a press release from Governor Schweitzer’s office, Jag, who is the Governor’s constant companion and “special assistant”, will celebrate in his usual fashion – “with a steak dinner, squirrel chasing and maybe a game of Frisbee on the Capitol lawn.”

2008 was a big year for Jag. His book “First Dog: Unleashed in the Montana Capitol” continued to be a big hit and helped raise funds for the Ronald McDonald Homes of Montana.
