In Budget Battle, GOP Takes Argument to YouTube

Throughout the 2009 legislative session, Montana Republicans have effectively used The Rotunda Report – the GOP’s official blog – to make their respective cases for and against legislation. And with the most consequential bill, the state budget, now on the table, Republicans have again posted a series of blogs and YouTube videos from party leaders arguing for their side. No, it is not advanced technology (and it’s not like the vidoe clips are getting a lot of views), but it is yet another reminder of how far lawmakers have come in the past few years in regard to the Internet, an area in which the GOP was long considered inept. The state’s Republicans are no longer at a disadvantage to Democrats in getting their message out. After all, Republican Rep. Denny Rehberg Twitters.
