Fleeing Miniature Pony and Attempted Escape

7:43 a.m. Someone on Klondyke Loop woke up with egg on their house.

8:05 a.m. Two shotguns were removed from a vehicle on Cooperative Way.

9:09 a.m. A man called in because an inebriated woman was pestering his wife on Redfield Lane.

10:59 a.m. A gentleman came into the sheriff’s office and asked to speak to a deputy, but he wouldn’t tell the receptionist what the problem was. The man was gone when the deputy arrived.

11:30 a.m. A southbound truck on Montana Highway 40 lost a load on the road. Reportedly, the truck had a topper.

11:42 a.m. Someone’s boy found what he thought was a human bone on Bridge Street in Bigfork. The bone, however, was not human.

1:31 p.m. A man on a bike stopped and took a rest along the rode. He was headed home.

2:31 p.m. A powerful sounding gun was being shot in the woods near Berne Road in Columbia Falls.

2:43 p.m. Two dogs were reportedly on a short leash.

2:51 p.m. A miniature pony escaped, was caught, and is in seemingly fine health back at home in Columbia Falls.

4:28 p.m. An animal lover called in because they were worried about a lab that was on a short chain on Tamarack Lane in Columbia Falls. The person said the dog’s owner was drunk and on parole.

5:14 p.m. A woman allegedly ran over her son’s bike. The reporting party said she did so purposefully.

5:58 p.m. Someone dumped a bunch of garbage, including a swing set, nearly three miles up Haskill Basin Road.

7:46 p.m. A dark sports utility vehicle was going the wrong way on a one-way street.

7:47 p.m. A 10-year-old boy smacked his head on an RV trailer. He was tackled by the neighbor boy.

11:37 p.m. Two juvenile inmates at the Flathead County detention center are facing felony assault and attempted escape charges after they attacked a female detention officer during a routine cell change. Reportedly, the two pushed the woman to the ground and stole her keys. What they failed to realize was that the keys didn’t operate the keypad to exit the facility. Once they figured that out, after trying for several minutes to escape, they returned the keys to the officer and went back to their cells. Both were previously facing misdemeanor charges. The detention officer had a fat lip.
