MISSOULA – Basketball player Joslyn Tinkle of Big Sky High School in Missoula has been chosen for the 2009 All America Team named by Parade, the Sunday magazine supplement that many U.S. newspapers circulate.
Tinkle is one of 10 players selected for the first of the magazine’s four teams.
She’s a 6-foot-3 post who last month led Big Sky to its second straight state title in Class AA basketball. Tinkle is a senior planning to attend Stanford University.
This is the 33rd year for Parade’s All America team. An article about it is planned in the magazine this Sunday.
Tinkle’s earlier recognition includes being named a McDonald’s All-American, a WBCA All-American and Montana’s Gatorade Player of the Year.
