Missing Person Found in Jail and Blue Heeler Shot

8:25 a.m. There were five traffic stops in less than 30 minutes; four were in school zones.

9:48 a.m. Trash belonging to a recycling facility keeps ending up in a woman’s yard.

10:12 a.m. A wench was stolen on Prairie View Road.

10:23 a.m. A 25-year-old man’s mother was worried about him because she hadn’t seen him since April 9. Much to her dismay, the woman found her son in the Lake County Jail on drunken driving charges.

11:41 a.m. Firewood was stolen from a man on Lake Blaine Road.

12:52 p.m. A white Ford, headed southbound on U.S. Highway 93, had its flashers on.

2:18 p.m. A man said he is worried about a renter of his who recently got out of the slammer. Reportedly, the renter is stealing from his father, driving without a license and doing drugs.

2:39 p.m. A resident of U.S. Highway 2 said transients have set up camp on his land. Authorities inspected the area and determined the camp to be unoccupied and likely built last year.

3:39 p.m. A man dodged several beer bottles that were thrown at him on Spotted Bear Road. Apparently, there is an issue between to males about ownership of a vehicle.

4:22 p.m. Two dogs, a yellow lab and white pit bull, were in a field near a church.

5:16 p.m. Youths were shooting a shotgun in Columbia Falls near a fishing access.

5:37 p.m. A storage unit was broken into. Stuff was missing. There is no description.

5:40 p.m. Two pit bulls reportedly chased a jogger on Demersville Road.

5:43 p.m. Dogs on Trumble Creek, according to a caller, bark at night.

5:52 p.m. A mother, who was worried about her heartbroken daughter, was relieved to find out she was shopping, not moping.

6:13 p.m. Someone in a white Chevy may have flashed a gun at another driver. They definitely flashed “the bird.”

6:36 p.m. A quarter-acre grass fire was put out in 22 minutes.

6:39 p.m. Reportedly, a deer was stuck on some ice.

6:40 p.m. Two poodles were at a wildlife refuge. They were domesticated.

7:16 p.m. Someone in Lakeside shot a blue heeler in the head. The dog, though, is still alive at the vet.

7:47 p.m. A man said a set of keys was stolen from his vehicle while at a truck parts store.

8:23 p.m. Someone found their snowboard, boots and coat at the pawn shop.

8:26 p.m. Neighbors on Spotted Bear Road were gesturing to each other.

2:11 a.m. A smoldering fire picked up with the wind and caught some trees on fire off Columbia Falls Stage. It took one hour to extinguish the blaze.
