Photographer Presents Images of Glacier

By Beacon Staff

As part of the week-long Arbor Day festivities going on in Columbia Falls, photographer Chris Peterson will present his show “Confessions of a Citizen Scientist,” including photos and tales of his adventures in Glacier National Park, tonight at the Glacier Discovery Center. The presentation, which is sponsored by the First Best Place Task Force, begins at 7 p.m. A $2 donation is requested at the door.

Here’s a preview of the show from its presenter:

He ended up with a crippling knee infection, hiked 12 miles in his underwear, was mistaken for a grizzly bear and yes, he gathered his fair share of pika poop. Join photographer Chris Peterson of Glacier Park Magazine for his photo show “Confessions of a Citizen Scientist” as he takes a light hearted look as an amateur biologist in Glacier. Peterson has been photographing Glacier’s flora and fauna for the past 11 years. This show includes loons, mountain goats pikas, river otters and other cool creatures he met along the way.
