By Beacon Staff

POLSON – A 20-year-old Ronan area man pleaded not guilty Wednesday in four separate cases involving Lake County burglaries.

Cote Wheeler is accused of breaking into an Arlee tavern last November and stealing 32 bottles of liquor worth approximately $800, two knives and $500 in cash.

Wheeler is also accused of breaking into a Crow Dam residence last December and stealing approximately $1,300 in cash.

It’s alleged that Wheeler also broke into Wilson Family Foods in Arlee last November and stole beer. And he’s accused of breaking into a West Post Creek home last December and stealing three guns, a camera, jewelry and cash.

Wheeler was arrested in mid-January in Missoula.

Authorities say three other defendants are suspected of being involved in the robberies.
