Vice President Joe Biden created quite a stir Thursday morning by suggesting in a television interview that neither he nor his family would be traveling in confined spaces, such as airplanes or subways, over swine flu fears.
Hours later, Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano scrambled to clarify his statements, saying that the vice president misspoke and that the administration was just “asking people to take common-sense precautions.”
A day later, Congressman Denny Rehberg, R-Mont., made the following observation before boarding a flight home. Via his Twitter account:
