BOZEMAN – The Bozeman High softball team ended its three-year, 65-game losing streak over the weekend with a 7-4 victory over Missoula Hellgate in Great Falls.
Pitcher Tessa Miller had three hits and three RBIs Friday to lead Bozeman to its first win since the 2006 season.
Coach Sam Vidal says the team celebrated like they won the World Series. He said breaking the losing streak was a big step for the program.
The Hawks’ 65th consecutive loss was a 7-3 loss to Missoula Sentinel on Friday. In the final game of the triple-header, Missoula Big Sky beat Bozeman 12-5.
