Suspicious Canoe and Fan Fight

5:55 a.m. An overturned canoe aroused suspicion on Ashley Creek. The owner of said canoe has yet to be found.

6:58 a.m. One nondescript cow was obstructing Highway 2.

8:05 a.m. Three dogs left home through a window and proceeded to wander Parliament Drive.

8:17 a.m. Someone trapped a feral cat.

9:26 a.m. A bulldog viciously attacked another dog at Lone Pine Park, much to the dismay of the victim’s owner. The offender was later spotted following a group of kids up the trail.

12:19 p.m. Medication was stolen from a Lakeside residence. It was described as “very similar to Aleve.”

12:25 p.m. Neighbors were screaming profanities at one another on Shady Lane.

1:15 p.m. The canoe on Ashley Creek has yet to be removed.

1:59 p.m. A lady in Evergreen reports that a Dodge pickup is following her everywhere she goes.

3:29 p.m. An injured cat was transported to a local clinic.

4:08 p.m. A purse was stolen at a large chain grocery store.

4:15 p.m. The contents of a blue dump truck were not properly secured. Fortunately, the non-secure load was spotted at the county landfill.

4:59 p.m. A gentleman encountered complications when attempting to pick up his children due to a restraining order regarding the children’s mother. Authorities facilitated an efficient exchange.

5:13 p.m. A schnauzer was roaming aimlessly down Conrad Drive. It was located and taken into custody.

5:24 p.m. A “really big man” refused to leave a Columbia Falls bar. Though initially belligerent, he later left peacefully with his “papa.”

6:24 p.m. A gentleman’s step daughter ran away and would not come home when located. She later returned at the encouragement of local law enforcement.

6:50 p.m. Someone did not pay for repairs done on three cars. The services were worth over $1,000.

7:37 p.m. A family claimed that their 10-year-old boy did not return from a school field trip. Soon after, the child was located in the family home.

7:38 p.m. Two sports spectators – one intoxicated – engaged in a physical conflict. They were previously enjoying a youth baseball game.

8:04 p.m. Familial conflict resulted in a standoff on Howard Drive. Yelling and gunshots were heard from within the residence, and one of the occupants fired a shot over the head of a responding officer. No injuries resulted from the three-hour ordeal.

8:11 p.m. Kids were throwing rocks at cars on Nicholson Drive in an unsuccessful break-in attempt.

8:59 p.m. An unidentified male driver hit a black cat on Hodgson Road. The considerate individual promptly moved the body to the side of the road.

10:37 p.m. Authorities requested that a loud party in Hungry Horse lower their volume.

11:30 p.m. The party in Hungry Horse did not lower their volume. The merriment was put to an end.
