Now that summer has arrived, it’s time to dust off the backyard games. Horseshoes, ladder golf, volleyball – everyone has a favorite. Personally, I favor the throwing games, like horseshoes and cornhole, which claimed the top two spots on Real Clear Sports’ list of best BBQ activities. But I’m always happy with badminton and soccer as well.
For those who don’t have their own gear, Emily Williams at Kalispell City Parks and Recreation says there is plenty of equipment available for rent at her department. Though I haven’t received any press releases from other local cities’ parks and rec departments, I’m sure they have equipment for rent too. Give them a call.
In Kalispell, you can rent horseshoes, a volleyball set, tug-o-war, ladder golf, folf discs, soccer balls and basketballs. There’s even a PA system and GPS unit available. Emily says even if you don’t see what you want on that list, call her department at 758-7849 and they might have it anyway.
