Billings Man Killed by Lightning Strike

BILLINGS – A Billings man was struck in the forehead and killed by a bolt of lightning on the Fourth of July.

His brother says 26-year-old Blake Harmon and other family members were running to take cover from a sudden storm when he was hit about 7 p.m. Saturday at Castle Rock Park in Billings.

There was no exit wound, and officials believe the lightning exited from the toy wagon loaded with chairs and picnic gear that Blake Harmon was pulling.

David Harmon says younger brother Blake worked for a heating and air conditioning company in Billings and has two young daughters.
