Blixseth Back in Bankruptcy Court Tuesday

By Beacon Staff

BILLINGS – Yellowstone Club co-founder Edra Blixseth heads back to bankruptcy court Tuesday for a hearing into her attorney’s attempt to drop Blixseth as a client.

Great Falls attorney Gary Deschenes submitted court filings last week asking to leave the case due to an unspecified conflict.

Blixseth’s former husband, Tim, is seeking to block the withdrawal.

The couple founded the Yellowstone Club in the late 1990s. Their bitter divorce last year precipitated the financial collapse of the millionaires-only resort, which has a private ski hill about 50 miles north of Bozeman.

In a court papers filed Monday, Tim Blixseth alleged Deschenes may have been involved in the destruction and withholding of evidence in Edra Blixseth’s personal bankruptcy case. Deschenes could not be reached immediately for comment.
