5:14 a.m. At an Italian eatery in Whitefish, motion-detecting lights came on when no one should have been around. Authorities responded and found the location to be secure.
7:51 a.m. A resident of Armory Road in Whitefish sustained damage to their vehicle at the hands of a local troublemaker.
8:42 a.m. Two horses and a steer on Rocky Cliff Drive appeared to have no access to food or water. This claim proved unfounded, and the animals are perfectly healthy.
10:10 a.m. Beef jerky, huckleberries and cherries were stolen from a Hungry Horse business.
10:20 a.m. A recreational float tube was stolen from a boat on Conrad Drive.
10:50 a.m. A vehicle drove up and down Sherman Road several times. A neighbor found this highly suspicious, but authorities could not locate the offender.
12:10 p.m. Two white horses were showing their ribs on Blue Lake Lane in Bigfork. The creatures were found to be under the direct care of a qualified veterinarian.
12:23 p.m. Items of an undisclosed nature have apparently been disappearing from a yard on Shadow Lane.
1:51 p.m. Someone on Lost Prairie Road in Marion is receiving threats from another individual.
3:30 p.m. A white motor home sped down Highway 2 in the Columbia Heights area with a blown tire, causing sparks to fly from beneath the vehicle. Montana Highway Patrol officers quickly stopped the RV and all is now well.
3:36 p.m. An individual peddling some sort of seal-coating substance in Somers aroused the suspicions of a concerned resident, who thought the business might be a scam.
4:00 p.m. On Shady Lane, a 2-year-old accidentally consumed a family member’s allergy medication, causing unpleasant symptoms. The family was put in contact with poison control professionals.
4:32 p.m. What was thought to be a single gunshot rang out near a home on Country Court. The reporting party later called back, indicating that the sound was in fact from a pop can that had exploded in the kitchen freezer.
4:51 p.m. Two patio chairs were stolen from a patio on South Cedar Drive.
5:03 p.m. A trailer headed south on Highway 2 lost a wheel and began swerving across traffic. Fortunately, the trailer was stopped safely and the firewood it contained remained secure.
5:18 p.m. Two juvenile females attempted unsuccessfully to steal beer and energy drinks from a large convenience store on Highway 35.
6:26 p.m. A resident of Ardell Drive noticed that a neighbor is building something on the reporting party’s property. The claim turned out to be a civil issue regarding a property line.
6:42 p.m. A man wearing a black dress and carrying flowers repeated an earlier performance, flashing passers-by at a local motel. The obscene gentleman was at last taken into police custody.
8:32 p.m. An unwanted individual arrived at a Hungry Horse residence and refused to leave. Authorities responded and encouraged him to move along.
9:11 p.m. A woman from out-of-state became worried when her 16-year-old son, who lives in the Flathead, did not answer his phone. Come to find out, the boy had simply misbehaved and was currently grounded.
9:48 p.m. Six to eight children were seen running about at a local elementary school. A nearby resident found this behavior highly unusual.
9:49 p.m. Authorities responded to reports of a big green laser beam shining across Highway 2 from the window of a nearby home. Those responsible for the laser beam were informed that this is dangerous and unacceptable.
3:30 a.m. A garbage receptacle blazed at an Evergreen convenience store. It is believed that the dumpster was a victim of arson.
