Lawsuit Claims Edra Blixseth Exaggerated Worth

By Beacon Staff

BILLINGS – The legal woes of former Yellowstone Club owner Edra Blixseth continue to mount, with a new lawsuit alleging she claimed assets of $900 million to get $1 million in loans — even as she was sliding into bankruptcy.

Blixseth is now embroiled in at least 31 legal actions in at least five states, ranging from loan foreclosures and lawsuits to liens against her fast-dwindling estate.

The latest suit was filed last week in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Butte by Source Capital of La Jolla, Calif., and related investors.

They say Blixseth never repaid several loans she was given in 2008 based on claims of up to $900 million in assets and debts of just $10 million.

When she filed for bankruptcy in March, Blixseth listed assets of about $100 million and debts of more than $150 million.
