UM Sells 19K-Plus Football Season Tickets

MISSOULA – University of Montana athletics director Jim O’Day says more than 19,000 season tickets have been sold for the 2009 Grizzly football season.

Montana opens its six-game home schedule on Sept. 5 against Western State.

Only a limited number of season tickets remain for sale.

The Griz also have home games against Portland State on Sept. 19, Cal Poly on Oct. 10, Eastern Washington on Oct. 17 and Northern Colorado on Nov. 14.

Montana posted a 14-2 record in 2008, falling 24-7 to Richmond in the Football Championship Subdivision national title game.
