By Heather Jurva

Friday 8/14

6:56 a.m. A man and a woman quarreled on Harmony Road.

8:55 a.m. Someone on Star Meadows Road called to report that the registration stickers had been stolen from their license plates.

11:35 a.m. A Kila resident requested that authorities check on her daughter who is currently staying with the reporting party’s ex-husband.

1:17 p.m. A mailbox was smashed on Solberg Drive. This is apparently the third time this has occurred.

1:25 p.m. A stuck light bulb began smoking and emitting an electrical smell at a Columbia Falls casino. Columbia Falls fire officials responded and removed the problem bulb.

1:53 p.m. Someone in Hungry Horse received a threatening phone call from his mother. She evidently plans to have the Hell’s Angels cause him bodily harm.

2:02 p.m. Two kids in Columbia Falls caused a broken windshield when they dropped rocks from a train trestle to the roadway below.

2:16 p.m. The ex-wife of a transient individual headed from Canada to Texas called to report that he might be lost or missing. Authorities are attempting to locate said individual.

2:36 p.m. Someone on Deerfoot Trail reports that a dog killed their chickens and then proceeded to feed upon the bodies.

3:11 p.m. A 39-year-old woman attempted to steal one pair of pants from an Evergreen box store.

4:14 p.m. A male subject harassed a group of skateboarders at a local public park.

4:43 p.m. A 21-year-old male assaulted his mother and was subsequently jailed for partner/family member assault.

5:51 p.m. A 50-year-old woman, possibly intoxicated, fell and hit her head on Mountain Drive. Although ALERT responded, the woman was not transported to the hospital.

6:10 p.m. Authorities could not locate an illegal slash pile on Hoffman Draw.

6:20 p.m. Two men argued over an aggressive blue heeler on Middle Road. Evidently, one guy chased the dog into the other’s yard despite the fact that it did not belong to him.

6:20 p.m. A 45-year-old individual was tossed from a horse on Farm Road. The victim received medical care but did not go to the hospital.

8:44 p.m. What sounded like shots fired from an AK-47 rang out on Cramer Creek Road. A resident feels that this is highly unsafe due to a high concentration of children and pets in the area.

11:53 p.m. Eggs or perhaps balloons filled with a gooey substance were thrown at a Kalispell home.
