Choking Baby and a Stolen Car

12:17 a.m. A child playing with the phone decided to dial 9-1-1.

1:06 a.m. Several individuals at a Bitterroot Lake campground heard the echo of screams across the lake. Authorities could not locate the source of the noise.

1:09 a.m. A stranded motorist in the Badrock Canyon area could not convince anyone to stop and help him out. He finally found assistance just before authorities arrived.

2:33 a.m. Two to four teen males and a teen female in a yellow car screamed at someone on Sharon Road in Evergreen. Alcohol is suspected to be involved.

6:41 a.m. A man wearing tan shorts and carrying a backpack peeked into cars in Whitefish but did not attempt to enter them.

9:08 a.m. Two road graders were found parked in the middle of the North Fork Road. The thoroughfare was clear by the time authorities arrived.

10:17 a.m. Although it seemed that a 6-year-old was home alone in Lakeside, the child’s guardian was actually in the shower.

10:50 a.m. The bartender of a Martin City establishment attempted to leave and found that their tires had been slashed.

10:52 a.m. A choking baby in Whitefish was fine after spitting up what appeared to be biscuits and gravy.

11:40 a.m. A resident of Concord Lane claims that someone stole their car in the night, hit a deer and then returned the vehicle.

4:17 p.m. An intoxicated transient yelled obscenities and threw things at passing cars in Evergreen. The individual was advised to move along and behave himself.

5:48 p.m. A horse on Swan River Road was thought to be starving, but in reality suffered from digestive problems.

6:32 p.m. Gas dribbled from a vehicle in Whitefish. The spill was cleaned with resources on the scene.

7:51 p.m. A woman was thought to be passed out in her car on Highway 2, but was later found to be merely taking a nap.

8:35 p.m. Individuals shooting on Leisure Island were doing so in a safe and legal manner.

8:48 p.m. Smoke billowed from a washing machine at a local hotel. Responding officers disconnected the machine and all was well.

9:48 p.m. A single room was engulfed in flames at a local inn. No individuals were harmed in the blaze.

10:13 p.m. Two young men walking around a Columbia Falls auto body shop turned out to be the sons of the owner.

1:34 a.m. A very intoxicated man caused a disturbance on Shady Lane. The individual was counseled and then left the area.
