Victim of Ronan Bar Stabbing Identified

MISSOULA – Ronan police have released the name of a man who was stabbed to death in a Ronan bar over the weekend.

Police say that 50-year-old James Finch died after being stabbed during a fight at the Valley Club and Bar in Ronan.

Allen Metzger of Ronan is charged with deliberate homicide and carrying a concealed weapon in a prohibited place. Metzger, who is 52, told investigators that Finch hit him over the head, so he pulled a knife and swung it at Finch.
