Flathead High School Accepting ‘Legends’ Nominations

By Beacon Staff

Flathead High School officials are reminding people that the deadline for “Legends Wall of Fame” nominations is Sept. 8. The Wall of Fame is a way to honor all-time great Braves. There have been 12 inductees so far and this year’s inductees, if any are chosen, will be recognized at halftime of the Glacier-Flathead football game on Sept. 25.

Here is the full press release:

During the spring of 2004 the Flathead High School Trustees voted to change the name of Rawson Field to Legends Stadium. This action was the result of suggestions to change the name of the complex in conjunction with the recent improvements to the facility. With the outstanding students, athletes, teachers, coaches, and administrators, the board believed that by recognizing “Legends,” it would be an effective way to recognize many different folks who have made a significant contribution to our school community.

The Legends Stadium Selection Committee will meet on Wednesday, September 9 and review nominations to determine if there will be honorees for 2008. To date, 12 people have been inducted into the Legends Wall of Fame.

If new inductees are chosen, they will be recognized at halftime of the Glacier-Flathead football game on September 25. We will award the inductees with a plaque and take their picture. Nominations are due Tuesday, September 8 by 4:30 p.m. and can be sent to:

Central Administration Office
233 First Avenue East
