Pastry Thief and an Entryway Assault

6:02 a.m. Construction tools were stolen from a residence on Helena Flats Road.

6:29 a.m. A local coffee shop was entered in the night through a cut screen window. The intruder left with a case of Red Bull and an unspecified number of blueberry muffins.

9:19 a.m. Three deputies visited a transient camp on Cottonwood Drive and encouraged the residents to move along.

9:35 a.m. Several stray llamas wandered about on Rhodes Draw.

10:15 a.m. A toolbox was stolen from a residence on Wishart Road.

11:16 a.m. Two male transients have been lingering near a Hungry Horse convenience store for approximately four days. Employees of the store report that the men tend to become belligerent when asked to leave.

11:47 a.m. A resident of Pioneer Road became suspicious when someone offered to sell them a brand-new generator for a very low price. The business turned out to be completely legitimate.

12:17 a.m. A mailbox was assaulted by an individual with a firearm on Lakeshore Drive in Whitefish.

12:19 p.m. A vehicle was seen leaving Bigfork with two unrestrained toddlers in the front seat. Authorities could not locate the vehicle in question.

12:23 p.m. Someone on Shady Lane complains that his wife habitually throws things around the house, yet somehow he is always the one arrested when authorities arrive.

12:51 p.m. Unescorted llamas were returned to their Rhodes Draw home.

1:43 p.m. A resident of Country Way reports that vehicles drive through the neighborhood at high rates of speed. The reporting party feels that this is particularly dangerous when children are returning home from school.

2:02 p.m. A vehicle blazed in the backyard of a Shadow Lane home. The fire was contained within five minutes.

2:43 p.m. Someone in Lakeside claims that another individual is on his way to cause the reporting party bodily harm.

2:48 p.m. A vehicle window was broken at the hands of a Hungry Horse malefactor.

3:10 p.m. An individual building a home in Essex claims that a neighbor’s dog bit a contractor working on the house.

3:27 p.m. Someone delivered a very skinny cat to the local animal shelter.

3:36 p.m. Someone in Bigfork accidentally overdosed on Hydrocodone and received medical care.

4:07 p.m. A wallet was stolen from a vehicle parked outside an Evergreen fast food restaurant.

5:55 p.m. An individual walking down McMannamy Draw was covered in dust when a vehicle sped by at a high rate of speed. The two parties then engaged in a heated verbal altercation.

6:10 p.m. A dog wandered out of the woods near Jellison Road in Columbia Falls. The dog evidently looked sick and was taken to the shelter.

6:36 p.m. A “tiny poodle cross” ran wild on Whitefish Stage Road.

7:16 p.m. Someone on Harmony Road called to disclose information regarding drug activity in the area.

7:54 p.m. A woman in Hungry Horse reports that a man arrived at her home and threatened to shoot her dog, who apparently barks frequently and with vigor. The male subject was later arrested for disorderly conduct and driving while under the influence of alcohol.

8:19 p.m. Someone at a residence on Highway 2 West claims that her son’s ex-wife removed a shelving unit from the reporting party’s home.

8:27 p.m. Three juvenile males were seen shooting arrows near Highway 206 South. The young archers were gone when authorities arrived.

8:35 p.m. An antique Chinese statue was stolen from a home in Bigfork.

9:21 p.m. A young girl sustained an injury to the elbow when she attempted to open a store door for a male subject. The man apparently violently yanked the door handle from her grasp.

9:48 p.m. Someone noticed that the windows had been broken and the ignition torn from a vehicle parked at an Evergreen box store. The vehicle has not been reported as stolen.

10:41 p.m. A county vehicle struck a cat on Highway 93 North.

4:02 a.m. A female subject evidently relieved herself in the parking lot of a Whitefish business.
