7:24 a.m. Someone apparently tampered with a vehicle in a Kalispell yard. Although the hood was opened, no items were taken from the car.
8:33 a.m. Residents of Ridgewood Drive were alarmed to hear what seemed to be shouting and gunshots in the area. Authorities arrived to find that a man at the residence was not harming others but rather had lost his temper while fixing the dryer.
8:55 a.m. A large chunk of concrete fell from a train trestle above Blankenship Road, posing a hazard to passing motorists.
9:04 a.m. Nine cows wandered about on Highway 2 West. The cows were well within their rights to do so, as the area was open range.
9:47 a.m. What was thought to be a theft of a vehicle turned out to be a case of civil repossession at the Kalispell airport.
11:02 a.m. Tools were stolen from a car on Lower Valley Road.
11:38 a.m. Two car tires were intentionally flattened car at Abbott Bay on the Hungry Horse Reservoir.
11:56 a.m. A resident of Whitefish Stage Road reports that a neighbor has been filling the reporting party’s dumpster with trash.
12:05 p.m. A horse was repossessed on Seville Lane in Coram.
1:13 p.m. Someone in Somers requested that authorities investigate the welfare of a child in a stroller at a local boat launch. The reporting party felt that the child’s mother may have been on drugs.
1:32 p.m. A teenaged individual knocked on a Shady Lane door, asking for money to help fund his college education. The resident, a welfare recipient, denied this request and in turn asked if the teen would lend him $10.
2:16 p.m. A man in a red vehicle threatened another driver with a tire iron in the parking lot of an Evergreen box store, apparently for the second time that day.
2:54 p.m. Someone vandalized a windshield in Bigfork.
3:19 p.m. A Bigfork auto mechanic called to report that someone had stolen parts from an automobile.
3:42 p.m. Two sisters, aged 14 and 25, argued on Willow Glen Drive.
4:04 p.m. A camera and medication were stolen from an unlocked vehicle on Morning Glory Lane.
5:20 p.m. A car battery was reportedly lying in the middle of the road near an Evergreen box store.
5:34 p.m. Someone camping approximately 7 miles up the North Fork Road reports that a bear came into his camp, destroyed his belongings and ate all his food.
5:38 p.m. An elderly male, heavy-set and sporting a white beard, was mumbling incoherently at a local convenience store. Authorities found the intoxicated man at the counter of the store, eating a sandwich and causing no problems.
9:46 p.m. A male subject was found to be growing marijuana at an undisclosed location in the Flathead Valley.
10:10 p.m. A man and his children arrived home to find that all of the house lights had been turned on in their absence. The shady intruder turned out to be the children’s grandmother.
