L’Ecole dates from the early days of Walla Walla, Wash., wine history (the 80s). L’Ecole has style, grace and well … always tasted great! The cute label, by Ryan, age 9, depicts the winery, a former school house. Cuteness aside, this a truly great wine that shows its flavors magnificently with the squash lasagna. This wine smells like nicely buttered toast. Seriously, it does smell like buttered toast, a touch of melon and apple fruit flavors and a lightly oaked finish. Beautiful.
