Complete Class AA Football Statistics

By Beacon Staff

Statistics have been compiled for the first three weeks of the Class AA football season and it appears there’s one thing you can bet on at Glacier games: lots of points. Glacier is ranked second out of 14 teams in Class AA in points scored, but 11th in points allowed. Glacier averages 35.3 points per game, second behind three-time defending champion Helena Capital at 41.7. Capital, however, also has the stingiest defense, giving up a measly 7.7 points per game, while Glacier allows 30.3. Glacier is 2-1 on the season, including last Friday’s 41-35 overtime victory over Bozeman.

Glacier is particularly weak on pass defense, allowing a league-worst 266.3 yards per game through the air. Meanwhile, cross-town rival Flathead, 1-2, allows only 126.7 passing yards per game, third-best in Class AA. But the Braves give up 213 rushing yards per game, third-most in the league. Flathead averages 9.3 points while their opponents average 28 per game against them.
