Startling Slap and Gun Threats

Friday 9/18

7:27 a.m. An employee of an Evergreen convenience store noticed a distraught-looking woman sitting in her vehicle outside. The woman later moved to the parking lot of a nearby sporting goods store.

8:01 a.m. A woman sitting in her car at an Evergreen school was emotionally shaken when a female subject struck the window with her hand. No damage was done to the vehicle.

8:45 a.m. Lightening caused a tree to ignite in a pasture on West Evergreen Drive.

8:46 a.m. A laptop computer was stolen from a home on Concord Lane.

9:09 a.m. Four 12-year-olds got off of the bus at Turtle Bay and took off running. The kids were later found and returned home, though not before they damaged a vehicle parked nearby.

9:19 a.m. Numerous items were stolen from a home on Parliament Drive.

9:29 a.m. A resident of Cayuse Lane reports receiving inappropriate photos on her cell phone from an unfamiliar number.

11:06 a.m. A window was busted out of a home in Martin City.

11:42 a.m. Someone noticed pry marks on a padlock at an Evergreen business.

2:05 p.m. Gunshots rang out in the Happy Valley area, along with the sounds of angry yelling and screaming. Authorities responded but could not locate the source of the noise.

3:24 pm. A paint sprayer was stolen on Conrad Drive.

5:28 p.m. Reports of a neglected horse on Batavia Lane proved unfounded when the responding officer arrived to find the horse eating hay.

6:17 p.m. A young child was left in a running vehicle at a local supermarket.

7:12 p.m. Two young boys evidently threatened another child with a knife on Shady Lane.

8:25 p.m. Three or four underage males were thought to be drinking alcoholic beverages at a local cemetery. The youths were in fact not drinking.

8:31 p.m. A patron of a local bar pulled a gun on the bartender when he was asked to leave and escorted to his car. Deputies found the man at his residence and took him to jail.

8:49 p.m. Someone spun brodies on the green at a local golf course.

9:27 p.m. A mother caught her 14-year-old daughter sniffing gas, after which the girl began to behave erratically.

9:34 p.m. A vehicle was fully engulfed in flames in Whitefish.

9:54 p.m. A customer at an Evergreen supermarket received a note that read, “I saw you last night. I really enjoy watching you.”

10:16 p.m. A 16-year-old girl was seen hitchhiking along Highway 2.

11:59 p.m. Someone on Sharon Road called to report that the family dog was barking and evidently only barks when strangers are about. Authorities investigated and found no intruders on the property.

12:04 a.m. Someone became suspicious when a man came to the door asking to use a jack. The reporting party found this strange because a car could not be seen in the area. Officers responded and located the disabled vehicle a short distance away.

1:33 a.m. A man and his sister engaged in a shouting match outside a local gated community. All parties were found and counseled.
