Bouncing Child and a Smoking Washer

12:14 a.m. An intoxicated driver drove in the oncoming lane of traffic on Highway 93.

1:43 a.m. A resident of Edgewood Drive claims that an extremely intoxicated individual was currently in their yard and had attempted to enter the home.

2:19 a.m. Someone on Tahoe Drive believed that an individual in the backyard was trying to break into the house. Authorities went through the house with the reporting party and found no one suspicious in the area.

7:04 a.m. A man was treated for facial pain after being assaulted in the Kalispell area.

7:59 a.m. Someone in Essex called to report that he had shot four grizzly bears, killing one. Authorities are investigating the claim.

1:32 p.m. A resident of West Valley Drive called to complain about a neighbor’s horse wandering onto his property.

2:57 p.m. A Columbia Falls resident called to report smoke in the area of a local lumber mill. The substance turned out to be steam from the boiler at the plant.

3:48 p.m. A missing 4-year-old in Columbia Falls was found jumping on the neighbor’s trampoline.

3:54 p.m. What was thought to be an illegal burn turned out to be a recreational campfire on Cougar Trail.

4:45 p.m. Tires were slashed on West Valley Drive.

5:00 p.m. A cell phone was stolen from a customer at a West Glacier business.

5:13 p.m. Smoke in an auto dealership on Reserve Drive turned out to be a result of a malfunctioning washer.

6:54 p.m. A bottle of prescription medication was stolen from a Kila residence.

7:06 p.m. Seven kittens were found lying in an alley. The kittens will be cared for by the reporting party until further notice.

7:18 p.m. An undisclosed amount of cash was stolen from a Bigfork athletic club.

10:04 p.m. Four teen male subjects ran around causing problems in their Hungry Horse neighborhood.

11:10 p.m. An employee of a local convenience store called to report that a silver SUV had been sitting in the parking lot for 20 minutes. The reporting party later indicated that she was merely eating her lunch.

11:16 p.m. Someone in Bigfork reports seeing a subject with a lantern in the woods near her Bigfork home. Authorities could not locate anyone on the scene.

2:18 a.m. A resident of Mountain View Drive heard a loud noise near her home. Authorities could not locate the source of the noise.
