On a sometimes rainy Saturday afternoon, the Columbia Falls Wildcat football team did something they haven’t done in a while – advance to the state quarterfinals in class A football.
They managed that feat with a 15-8 win over Hamilton, avenging both an early season home loss to Hamilton and a recent playoff loss to the Broncs.
Three keys from the stats: John Woody had another 100+ yard game, Mitchell Wassam had another two touchdown, 100+ yard passing performance, and the Cats held Hamilton’s Paul Donaldson to only 64 yards.
The Cats travel to Butte to face Butte Central next weekend.
