H1N1 Vaccination at County Fairgrounds

By Beacon Staff

The Flathead City-County Health Department will have an H1N1 vaccination clinic at the Flathead County Fairgrounds on Wednesday, Nov. 4, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Just like previous the three previous vaccination clinics, Wednesday’s clinic will offer free vaccines to the public. The health department also said they will have twice as many vaccinators at this clinic to help work through a large crowd.

The event will take place in the Trade Center Building, so that people can wait inside.

Here are the eligibility requirements as set forth by the health department:

Those eligible for vaccine include;
• children 6 months through 19 years of age,
• caregivers of children under 6 months old, and
• persons over 19 years of age with chronic health disorders or compromised immune systems.
o Adults with high risk medical conditions need to bring a prescription from a healthcare provider specifying need for vaccine. Orders may also be faxed to the Health Department at 751-8102 before noon on November 4th.

The health department can be reached by phone at 751-8101.
