Helena Man Shot Four Times After Fight in Stable Condition

HELENA – Authorities say a Helena man who was shot four times in the leg after an argument with a friend has been listed in stable condition at a local hospital.

Lewis and Clark County Sheriff Leo Dutton says a 72-year-old man called authorities at about 6 p.m. Thursday and said he had shot another man at his home in the Skelly Gulch area.

Police have not identified the victim, who is 53, and say alcohol was involved.

Dutton says authorities are investigating what provoked the shooting and at this time, no charges have been filed.
