7:50 a.m. A baby donkey died of unknown causes in the Martin City area. Authorities will be following up.
8:49 a.m. An unlocked vehicle was stolen from North Riding Road. The vehicle later mysteriously reappeared.
9:00 a.m. Construction materials were stolen from a site on Legend Trail.
9:52 a.m. A grinder was stolen from a tire shop on Highway 2 East. The victim suspects a former employee.
10:34 a.m. Vehicles were ransacked and a stereo stolen at a business on Highway 2 East.
11:13 a.m. An elderly female subject was stuck in an elevator for ten minutes at a senior apartment complex. The building manager soon rescued her and all was well.
1:23 p.m. A man carrying a stick wandered in and out of traffic in Whitefish.
1:31 p.m. A Bigfork man received threatening text messages from a stepson with mental health problems.
1:35 p.m. A vehicle caught fire in Whitefish. No one was harmed in the blaze.
3:58 p.m. Someone dumped their garbage at an unauthorized location in Kila. The reporting party has pictures to prove it.
4:16 p.m. Two inmates were upset with one another at the county jail.
4:20 p.m. A red air compressor was found outside a local nursery.
4:44 p.m. Suspicious bones were found near a Columbia Falls tourist attraction. The origin of the remains has yet to be identified.
4:51 p.m. A man in a grey truck fired two shots in the Leisure Island area.
4:59 p.m. A 2-year-old girl was reported as missing from her home on Ridgewood Drive. She was later located, safe and sound asleep.
5:45 p.m. Two male drivers were tailgating and passing on a double yellow line on Helena Flats Road.
6:08 p.m. A hiker in the Loon Lake area called another individual on Eastman Drive and indicated that they were lost in the woods. The hiker was soon located and is now with his mother.
8:47 p.m. An alleged case of domestic violence turned out to be two drunken buddies trying to emulate UFC fighting in their living room. The supposed “victim” also had injuries from a previous bike accident. One party was taken to jail for probation violation.
10:29 p.m. A vehicle was struck by a rock at an intersection on Shady Lane.
10:50 p.m. A 22-year-old male became irate when his mother confiscated his drug paraphernalia on Woodland Drive.
12:49 a.m. A nearly-unintelligible party called from a Columbia Falls bar to report an assault and possible drunk driving. The assault victim did not wish to press charges.
