Help-Portrait has organized a massive movement for photographers – professional and amateur – to give instead of receive. On Dec. 12, photographers from around the world will photograph people in need and simply give them the pictures.
It’s that simple. From the Help-Portrait mission statement:
“These portraits are not for your portfolio, website, or for sale. Money isn’t involed here. This holiday season, you have the cance to give a family something they may have never had before – a portrait together.”
For more information on how to be involved on Dec. 12, visit the Help-Portrait Web site. There you’ll find other photographers in your community who are participating, ideas of where to find people in need in your community or just simply the inspiration you need to touch someone’s life through photography. Below is a short (also inspirational) video summarizing Help-Portrait’s goal.
