You know those sweaters that are covered in trees, buttons, ornaments and tinsel? Well I hate to do this, but I will because it is for your best fashion interest; those sweaters are a complete fashion DON’T. If you are one of those women who has one (or more) and are thinking about bringing your sweater out this season, please don’t. Do yourself a favor, throw it away and buy a new holiday sweater.
I am going to show you how you could still dress festive without being covered with ornaments. The most classic holiday sweater is a cashmere one. It will keep you warm and treat your body right, unlike a snowman that will make your body look three times its original size. If cashmere is out of your price range I completely understand. A thin merino wool sweater is great too! It is less expensive but conveys the same dressy look without the damaged wallet.
The best way to dress up your new holiday sweater is to pair it with a ribbon tie necklace. This accessory is hot hot this holiday season. It can be worn with practically everything. It looks fabulous with dresses, sweaters and even can dress up your fitted T-shirt, jeans and spicy shoes. Be sure when wearing this ribbon tie necklace not to over accessorize. Let this accessory be your only decoration around your face. If the necklace is very blingy you do not need a bracelet, but rings and a watch are perfectly acceptable. So do me a huge favor and toss out those old faded decorative sweaters and give this look a try. It is a younger and fresher way to display your holiday cheer!
