MISSOULA – It’s not often you’ll hear Montana mentioned with the Alabamas, Floridas, Ohio States, Iowas and Nebraskas when talking college football.
But the Griz did so this week in The Associated Press college football poll.
Montana received one vote in the weekly AP poll, which is led by No. 1 Alabama.
The Grizzlies were one of 14 teams listed as “others receiving votes,” joining Georgia with one vote in the poll.
Montana is a member of the Football Championship Subdivision, while all the other teams in the poll are members of the top level Football Bowl Subdivision.
The Griz are undefeated this season and meet Appalachian State next Saturday in the FCS semifinals.
