MISSOULA – The National Transportation Safety Board says in a preliminary report on a fatal plane crash near Kalispell that no drugs or alcohol were found in the pilot’s system.
Hugh Rogers, a well-known Whitefish veterinarian, crashed his single-engine airplane onto the ice of Hungry Horse Reservoir on April 1.
The NTSB report says Rogers, who turned 50 the day of the crash, might have become disoriented because of low visibility. A final report is due sometime next year.
