Montana receiver Marc Mariani and Montana State offensive lineman Jeff Hansen have been named to the 2009 Walter Camp All-America team for the Football Championship Subdivision.
Mariani, a senior from Havre, Mont., has 71 catches for 1,301 yards and 12 touchdowns for the Grizzlies, who play in the FCS national championship game Friday in Chattanooga, Tenn.
Hansen is a senior from Great Falls, Mont.
Four other Big Sky Conference players were honored: Weber State center Kyle Mutcher, Eastern Washington linebacker J.C. Sherritt, Weber State defensive back Josh Morris and Idaho State punter Jon Vandenwielen.
Also honored was Appalachian State quarterback Armanti Edwards, last year’s Walter Payton Award winner and a finalist for this year’s award.
