With basketball teams taking a break for the holiday season, now’s a good time to take a look at the Northwestern A statistical leaders for this young season.
So far, most of the attention-grabbing numbers belong to girls. Senior standout Jackie Mee is averaging 23.75 points per game and 10.5 rebounds. Mee scored 41 points against Anaconda.
In Columbia Falls, the DeWit sisters are dominating the boards yet again this season, averaging more than 25 rebounds per game between them. Kelsey, a senior, averages a league-leading 13.2 rebounds to go along with 10.8 points. Her younger sister Kayla, a junior, averages 18.8 points and 12.2 rebounds, both second best in the conference.
