Rose Bowl Parade Will Feature 1925 Glacier Bus

By Beacon Staff

BILLINGS – A 1925 Glacier National Park tour bus will be featured in Friday’s Rose Bowl Parade in Pasadena, Calif.

The family of the Tournament of Roses president will ride in the White Motor Co. bus, which is owned by Bruce Austin of Nye. The bus is on permanent loan to the Jammer Trust, a nonprofit that Austin helped start to promote the preservation of touring vehicles.

Austin owns and has restored a number of old Yellowstone and Glacier park touring vehicles, including two that appeared in last year’s Rose Bowl Parade. He says the original bus began carrying visitors just 15 years after the establishment of Glacier National Park in 1910.
